Teen Volunteers
The library is looking for friendly, energetic, responsible teens between the ages of 14-17 to assist with the 2013 Summer Reading Program and other special library projects. Earn volunteer credits and valuable work experience. Pick up a volunteer application during the month of April at any Scottsdale Public Library or online. Applications available and accepted April 1st -30th only!
Volunteers are an essential part of our daily operations and programming. If you are interested in volunteering your time and talents, we would love to hear from you. Pick up an Interest Questionnaire at any Scottsdale Public Library location or download a copy.

Volunteer applicants whose interests, abilities and availability results in placement will complete a city mandated background check and then be scheduled for an orientation.
At this time the Library does not provide volunteer placement for court ordered community service requirements.

Children’s Program Host
Are you friendly, energetic, and responsible? Do you find working with children and caregivers rewarding? If so then join us as a Children’s Program Host. Hosts assist Library staff by monitoring the programming area and by communicating library policies regarding to age restrictions and class size limitations. Some bending and light lifting may be required, as this position involves moderate clean-up of library materials and spaces after Story times end.
ESL Instructor
We are looking for an individual to teach ESL classes. Previous experience teaching ESL is a requirement with current certification being highly desirable.

Paging
We are looking for volunteers to help shelve materials in the library. This is a physical task and requires bending, reaching and pushing carts of materials. We are looking for help on weekdays in the afternoon. All training will be provided.

Book Buddies Reading Volunteer
Join us this summer as we keep kids reading through the Book Buddies Program. Certified teachers will oversee a “Buddy” system where teens and kids ages K-4 engage in reading and technology programming over the summer. We are looking for an adult volunteer to help us out on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 pm - 3 pm, June 1 - July 31. The perfect volunteer is passionate about literacy, enjoys and has experience working with kids and works well in a team environment.
Bright Blue Boxes Group Leader
We are looking for individuals to take book discussions to senior groups in our community. No experience necessary, training provided.
Eureka Loft Room Host
Is customer service your passion? Is entrepreneurship your middle name? If so then join us in the Eureka Loft as a room host. As a room host you will assist business minded customers who are using the co-working space. Room hosts must be computer and Internet Savvy and have a desire to help the community build partnerships.
