the Gallery @ the Library (Location & Hours)
..is an exhibition program located in the Scottsdale Civic Center Library. Scottsdale Public Art in partnership with the Civic Center Library present exhibitions and educational programming that strengthens awareness of the arts and stimulates community dialogue. The gallery is also used as a community gathering space and programming may include: lectures, gallery talks, workshops, and other educational events.

Margaret and Christine Wertheim of the Institute For Figuring have created a project to crochet a woolen reef - a project that now involves hundreds of people around the world. Featuring amazing and beautiful hand-crocheted coral reef figures. The Crochet Coral Reef Project has been shown in London, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

Crochet a Plastic Tote Bag

Turn your old plastic bags into a reusable tote! Bring in any clean plastic bags to recycle into a crochet-able plastic yarn, then learn the pattern to make your own tote bag. In conjunction with the Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef Project. Any and all experience levels welcome and no RSVP required. Crochet hooks will be available for use.
