Scottsdale Reads this Summer!

The Summer Reading Program is here!

Starting on June 1st, you can read your way through some fantastic books to win prizes! The more you read, the more chances you have to be entered into our prize drawings.

We have programs themed for babies, youth, teen and adults – all of which have some terrific prizes along the way.

Have you ever wondered why Summer Reading Programs were first started? Studies have shown that when children stop reading, even for a few months, they experience significant declines in their literacy growth as compared to those children that read year round. Summer Reading Programs are a fun, rewarding way to keep students reading and strengthen their literacy skills. Adult programs were implemented shortly after, as reading is important for everyone, no matter their age!

Stop into any Scottsdale Library Branch between June 1st and July 31st to get signed up. It's free, it's fun, and it's an essential part of Summer!
