Social Media Feedback and Comments

The primary purpose of the City of Scottsdale Public Library’s use of social media tools is to communicate library news, events and information to residents, businesses, visitors and other interested parties.

The Scottsdale Public Library reserves the right to delete submissions that contain vulgar language, personal attacks of any kind, or offensive comments that target or disparage any ethnic, racial, or religious group. In addition, the Scottsdale Public Library also reserves the right to delete comments that:

  • Are clearly off topic, and/or disruptive
  • Advocate illegal activity
  • Infringe on copyrights or trademarks
  • Contain spam, advertising or include links to other sites that are clearly off topic or are inappropriate
  • Contain private personal information about an individual without consent
  • Promote particular services, products, or political organizations

Comments to our posts on social media sites do not reflect the opinions and position of the Scottsdale Public Library or its employees, and the Scottsdale Public Library is not responsible or liable for comments or feedback posted by any subscriber to our social media tools.

Just as you would with internet sites, you should take steps to protect your technology and your privacy when using social media sites. Be sure to protect your personal information by customizing the privacy settings of each social networking site you choose to join, and make sure your computer’s firewall and antivirus are up to date.  Please know that though we do update our social media sites on a regular basis, not all program and catalog information is posted. In order to stay up to date on all Library programs, services, and products, ScottsdaleLibrary.org should remain your primary online resource for all Scottsdale Public Library information.
