Back to School Resources for Everyone

Back to School Resources for Everyone

This month most Scottsdale students head back to the classroom to begin another exciting year of school! With the all of the hustle and bustle that comes with getting ready for the first day of school, it’s easy to overlook some of the library resources at your fingertips that make a student’s year even more successful.

  1. For a child that loves nursery rhymes, check out our online library of Mother Goose Rhymes!
  2.
  3. Find book recommendations for your elementary child to read, check out our reading lists based on grade level.
  4.
  5. For older students that wish to take Practice SAT, ACT, DSST, AP tests and more,
they can do so for free via our Testing & Education Reference Center.

As always, should you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out and ask one of your friendly librarians. We are happy to help!

"What, Me Worry?"

There is always something to fret about these days. Money, family, kids, balancing life and home, aging parents, health… the list goes on and on. You know, all that worrying is not good for your health! Take some deep breaths, and make the time to come and listen to Pat Duryea PhD, speak about worrying less, and living better.

Summer Reading was Just Ducky!

This summer you may have noticed lots of rubber ducks all over town. Why? Rubber Ducks were the prizes awarded to the readers that participated in the Scottsdale Library Summer Reading Program! Over 28,000 ducks of all shapes and sizes were given to Scottsdale readers. So if you see a child with a summer reading rubber duck, be sure to give them a pat on the back for a job well done. Thank you to everyone who participated!
