September 11th - Ten Years Later

It is hard to believe that ten years have passed since the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Though the terror attacks happened many miles away, they impacted every single American and, arguably, the world.

It is important to remember these events and share our experiences with others. To that end, the Scottsdale Library has started a discussion on our Facebook Page. Look to the left column on the page and select ‘Discussions’ to join the conversation.

Additionally, we are hosting two programs presented by Donna Killoughey Bird who lost her husband, Gary Bird, of Tempe, on 9/11 as he was attending a business meeting in the North Tower. She will share her perspective from the date of the attacks to the present, and what it means to be an American.

We hope you can join us.
